Instagram Explore: 30-Day Plan with a Sample Account

iGSub · October 28, 2026 · 4 min read

The Explore page is one of the most powerful ways to reach people who don't follow you yet. But there's no single magic button for exploring; Accounts that share the right content in the right order will start to appear here over time. In this article, we explain the subject not with abstract advice, but through an imaginary example: a 30-day plan for the Instagram account of a newly opened small neighborhood cafe. You can follow the same steps by adapting it to your own niche. We would also like to point out that as iGSub, we only offer such guides for Instagram, we do not provide discover or like services.

Starting point: Sample account status

The cafe account in our example has been open for a few months but has been posting irregularly. Most of the posts are menu photos, descriptions are blank and it is not clear in the profile what the cafe offers. Posts mostly only reach existing followers.

This picture is seen in many small accounts. The good news is that most problems can be fixed without spending money and sharing passwords.

Week 1: Profile and target clarification

The first week is spent fixing the foundation rather than producing new content. The bio is turned into a clear sentence like 'The neighborhood's handmade dessert and coffee stop' and the location and opening hours are added. Featured stories are organized under menu, venue and comments headings.

Another task this week is to determine the target audience: students, employees and dessert enthusiasts in the immediate area. All subsequent content is planned to attract the attention of these people.

  • One-sentence clear biography
  • Regular featured stories
  • Legible logo as profile photo
  • Target audience definition

Week 2: Content formats suitable for discovery

In the second week, we switch to a Reels-based content layout. Short and enjoyable videos, such as the preparation of coffee, the moment of cutting the dessert or the creation of latte art, are ideal for discovery. The first second of each video begins with the most impressive moment and short texts are added to the screen.

In addition, content worth saving, such as 'three easy coffee recipes you can make at home', is prepared with scrolling posts. Save and share are strong signals for discovery.

The frequency of sharing is also determined this week. For the example cafe account, four Reels and two swipe posts per week are chosen as a sustainable goal. Shooting is done collectively in a single day, so sharing is not interrupted even on busy days. A few meaningful tags related to the cafe's neighborhood and the product are used in the descriptions, and the location tag is added to each post. Location tagging is an easy way to appear to nearby users, especially for local businesses. Additionally, at the end of each video, the viewer is asked a simple question, such as which dessert he or she would like to try most at the cafe, and is encouraged to comment.

Week 3: Grow engagement

In the third week, the focus is on interaction while content production continues. Comments on each post are answered within the first hours, and surveys and question boxes are used in the stories. Shares of customers who come to the cafe are reshared in the story with permission.

Sharing or collaborating with other small businesses in the neighborhood introduces the audiences of the two accounts to each other. These types of natural connections are much more secure and permanent than discovery tricks that require a password.

Week 4: Analysis and review

The last week is devoted to examining statistics. It is noted which Reels video reaches more unfollowers, which post is saved more, and the hours when followers are most active. The format that works best will feature more in the following month's plan.

This plan is not a guarantee; Exploration time varies for each account. But when applied regularly, it significantly increases the chances of your account appearing in explore.

iGSub does not provide followers, likes or views for Instagram. The only live free service on our site is for YouTube; You can get subscribers, likes and comments without a password with a public link. If businesses such as cafes also share their videos as YouTube Shorts, this tool can provide a small start.

Frequently asked questions

Is the number of followers important for discovery?

It is not determinative. Accounts with few followers may also appear in discovery with interesting and interactive content.

Do services sold as discovery tricks work?

Services that require a password or produce fake interactions put your account at risk and do not provide permanent results. The organic plan is safer.

Can I apply this plan to a different niche?

Yes. Profile clarity, exploratory format, interaction and analysis steps apply to every niche; You just need to adapt the content topics.

Does iGSub provide a discover service?

No. We only provide guide for Instagram. Our free service is limited to YouTube subscribers, likes and comments.
