Paglalarawan

At the beautifully preserved Roman site of Jerash near Amman, Jordan, I climbed aboard the two-wheeled chariot drawn by two very fit bay horses ... and we were off. We began at a pretty good canter, which as we turned the "corner" of the Roman-style racetrack became a full all out gallop. With my left hand hanging on to the edge of the chariot, I held the camera as steadily as I could. This was the real thing -- no seatbelts, no safety harness. On the last turn I lost my Tilley hat (later to be retrieved)and regained my youth. This video is brought to you by Talking Travel (http://www.ttrn.com). Don't miss our one-hour special on Jordan, November 8, 2006.
